Networking works, it really does. That is why we have business networking, social networking and online communities sprouting from everywhere. There is one more networking you might be interested in, not just leaving a crap on someone’s page but a banner network. Did that offend you; catch you by your midriff demanding an answer? No, may be yes. Well, most people are not even aware of what banner networking is. Yet there are thousands of people who have been making money and benefits for their websites all this time.
Banner is the space on top of your website page or at the bottom, where you place your advertisements. Te advertisement is a simple single column strip that takes the users from your page to the one you wish to. All this comes under banner advertising and the networks that contribute in different ways for the same set of exercises are the banner networks.
A banner network is a community of people who are interested in sharing and selling of the banner space. The community members further share their ideas about how to make the best use of that space, which as is obvious is the most valuable on a website for an advertisers’ point of view. In a typical banner network you may find a person who wishes to exchange the banner space with you, meaning mutual advertising or directing the traffic from one another’s site.
If you have a website and didn’t know about banner networking, your next obvious question would be – let me guess! Would it work, no…where would I find them. Good guess and good question. There are a number of banner network communities you can find online. A community joined by a good number of people like you would be ideal. Avoid registering for communities having very few members. Your banner space is valuable and as long as you are not putting anything into it you are losing something.
